Had time to kill one Saturday afternoon so we headed out to ride the RI tram for the first time. The 3-minute journey was a fun experience; the different modes of transport available in this city continue to fascinate me. Maybe when it gets warmer next we’ll go back and walk to the lighthouse at the northern end of the island.

Found an ’80s diner that serves great burgers and coleslaw, a new bakery with rich blue velvet cupcakes and a cute antique and memorabilia shop.
